Ultra light nano porous powder.

  • Silica dioxide(SiO2) as main constituent with particle size 10~100㎛.
  • Translucent fine white powder consisting over 90% nano pores makes it ultra light and excellent thermal insulator.
Structural model and microstructure of aerogel

Excellent thermal insulation material.

  • Can be used as filler in thermal insulation paints and coatings to dramatically increase the thermal insulation and hydrophobic performances.
  • Using silica aerogel instead of silica bubble/glass bubble in high/low temperature resistant insulation coating increases the thermal insulation performance significantly.

Excellent physical and chemical stability

  • No deterioration is caused when exposed to acidic or alkaline medium due to the excellent hydrophobic surface of silica aerogel.
  • No decrease in overall performance when exposed to thermal or electromagnetic radiation.

Various applications field

  • Silica aerogel has been applied in various organic/inorganic fiber sheet or blankets for thermal insulation at different temperatures in various industrial and construction fields.
    For example, various silica aerogel composites has been applied and performance has been verifies for insulating pipelines at different temperatures, insulating machineries/plants, insulating for fire fighting.
